1. Introduction
TryTheClothes (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates an AI-powered virtual try-on service that lets you upload a photo of yourself and a clothing image to see how the outfit might look on you. This Privacy Policy applies to our website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Uploaded images: the photo of yourself and the clothing images you upload to generate a try-on.
- Payment information: when you buy credits, payments are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay). We receive confirmation and order details, but we do not collect or store your full card, UPI, or bank details — those go directly to the gateway.
- Communications: any information you send us by email or through the contact form.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken on the Service.
- Device & log data: IP address, browser type, device type, and approximate location (derived from IP) — used for security, fraud prevention, and to fairly grant free credits.
- Cookies & similar technologies: see the Cookies section below.
3. Your photos & generated results
- Uploaded photos and clothing images are processed to generate your try-on result. Processing may involve a trusted third-party AI provider that performs the image generation on our behalf.
- Generated results are saved to your account (“My Creations”) so you can view or download them. You can delete any creation at any time from your account.
- If you delete your account, your saved creations and account data are removed as described in Data retention.
4. How we use your information
- To provide, operate and improve the Service and generate your try-on results.
- To create and manage your account, credits and purchases.
- To process payments and prevent fraud or abuse (for example, duplicate free-credit sign-ups).
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To understand how the Service is used and to improve performance and features.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Cookies & tracking technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies — required to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember your credits. The Service will not work properly without them.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand usage so we can improve (for example, Google Analytics).
- Advertising cookies — may be used by advertising partners to show more relevant ads (see below).
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Advertising & Google AdSense
We may display advertising on the Service, including through Google AdSense and other partners. When we do:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
We do not share the photos you upload with advertising partners.
7. Third-party services we use
- Razorpay — payment processing. Governed by Razorpay’s own privacy policy.
- Google — sign-in (OAuth), analytics, and advertising.
- AI image provider — performs the try-on image generation on our behalf.
- Hosting & infrastructure providers — securely store and serve the Service.
These providers may only process data as needed to perform their services for us.
8. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- with service providers who help us run the Service (see above), under confidentiality obligations;
- to comply with the law, a legal request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you.
9. Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your account details, saved creations, and unused credits. Some records (such as transaction records) may be retained where required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords and secure connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and continually improve our safeguards.
11. Your rights & choices
- Access & update: view and edit your profile from your account settings.
- Delete: permanently delete your account and data from Settings → Delete account.
- Marketing: we do not send spam; any future marketing emails will include an unsubscribe link.
- Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (such as under the GDPR or India’s DPDP Act). Contact us to exercise them.
12. Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
